I received the book that this quote came from many years ago and always thought this was a lovely sentiment. I also remember a part that said "some angels wear their wings on the inside."
So here's to all those wingless angels that come to us in many guises - ones that offer to pick our kids up from school when we are sick, who listen to us with their hearts and not just their ears, who make tapioca pudding to share, who lend us just the book we are needing to read, who help us see the bright side when we can't find it on our own, and help us "remember the song we are singing in our hearts when we forget the words."
