Yes, it’s beautiful, but what if I told you that this lady cut all these flowers from her own personal garden? I just stood there thinking, “How is this even possible?” I get excited when I can go outside and cut 2 or 3 roses for a vase from my own garden. Flower envy, BIG time!
Feelings of envy should cause us to pause and question, and they creep into our minds so easily. I am the same way when I see someone with a better camera than me. What are your own envy-triggers?
Later on, at the party, I had the privilege of spending time visiting with the same lady who put together these bouquets and it didn’t take long for me to understand that these bouquets were merely a floral extension of her gift of spreading beauty and God’s love to the world around her.
There is no one to compare yourself to,
and no one to compete with.
There never was.
When the Rose and the Lotus
are side by side,
is one more beautiful than the other?

I'm not sure I have any envy triggers but.... those flowers are beautiful.. and in Texas? How come I can't grow such a variety? Do you think "this lady" would talk to our church ladies? Would make a good all curch ladies lunch topic.
No, we Texans would have to PRAY OVER each and every beautiful bloom! :0) Alas, she's not from TX
