Heart-In-Hand Blog

My mother and sisters and I often comment to each other about the way a certain quote or book will come into our hands at the very time we needed to hear just such a message. I have collected quotes since 6th grade so even at an early age, the power of words to comfort and help me grow were a blessing.

Through this blog, I hope to add little messages of creativity and joy into others' lives. Perhaps if some of what I encounter helps me, it will also help or inspire another....I'm spreading the blessings!

I have been drawn to the symbol of the Heart-In-Hand for many years now and I thought it was perfect to use for this blog. Traditionally used by the Shakers, it's a symbol of hands that work and hearts given into God's care. (Maybe some of you who read this blog can add to my information on this symbol). I hope you will accept this "heart offering" from me to you.

Enter your email in the "subscribe" form on my blog if you would like to get updates whenever I add a new post. But you can also just check in at my actual blog every now and then. Please note that you have to visit the actual blog to see it in it's entirety. Feel free to comment too - I love comments!

I'm also a fan of quotations and look forward to checking in here regularly. I've taken Sir Whinston Churchill's admonition seriously. He said, "It is a good thing for an uneducated man to read books of quotations." He has been a great source of inspiration - even if there are few opportunities to include his pithy sayings in typical business reports! Good luck with the new blog.

Thank you for your well wishes! I've wanted to share my quotations for so long now, it's wonderful to have finally figured out a way to do it.
