I know a lot of people who have never picked up a paintbrush, written a story or played an instrument, yet still they are creative in the way they live their lives and love others. They too are adding to the beauty of the world and creating their own masterpieces of lives lived in faith and as examples of giving and caring in a world that yearns for their special kind of "heartwork."
My dad and I always seemed to have some project or other going on and my mother used to say, "I dont' have a bit of talent, I just feed the artists!" And feed she did with the most delicious, healthy food. Cooking is most definitely a work of heart. She also has a gift for letter writing and making the most mundane things sound interesting. For the people who receive her cards and letters, they know they are receiving love in an envelope.
We all have the ability to create and to share our "heartwork" with the world. God certainly doesn't intend for our masterpieces to be hidden. Happy Valentine's Day this week and may your own special kind of creativity shine through the love you share with others.
"I tell you, the more I think, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people." ~Vincent Van Gogh

It's truly surprising how many people you run into in life that dismiss their own creativity. "Oh you're so creative," they say, "I could never do anything like that." And then they go on about their business. It's so unfortunate that most people don't see just how creative they can be. Kind acts towards others go a long way, sometimes much further than a painting or a story. They can have a lasting impact on many lives and all it takes is a little thought or even just going out of your way just a little at the right moment.
Very nice post. :)
I do agree with you 100%!!! Thank you for your kind words as well.
